In the end, not that much actually. It turns out that as Qt now uses the glib event lop internally ( if you compile it with glib support ) it is quite possible to run GLib based code within a Qt program. The main issue ended up having to do with threading, and the solution to this ended up being simply splitting the daemon that runs and communicates with the Mp3Tunes server into its own process.</description>
