@Casey and Lunarcloud: lots of shows that are on NPR are produced by other non-profit organizations like PRI. Like sometimes NPR stations have BBC programs, but they obviously aren’t part of NPR.

What other stations would you like to see?

Any online service that provides a consumable api (whether that be simple feeds, or a full blown archive interface like NPR) can be integrated into Amarok 2 in a few short hours with minimal effort!

The BBC is a corporation not a company due to the way it is funded. Interesting to see it being judged as the standard to follow.

Unfortunately there are a few shows that NPR doesn’t have the rights to distribute online.

From the API site:

The API currently only includes stories from programs that can be found as part of the NPR.org archive. This currently excludes stories from other NPR programs, such as The Diane Rehm Show, Radio Labs, Fresh Air and Car Talk. Other non-NPR public radio programs, such as This American Life, Marketplace, and A Prairie Home Companion, are also not included in this offering.
